NSYSU College of Science Delegation Visits Ubon Ratchathani University

A delegation from the College of Science at National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU) visited Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU)

in Thailand from August 12 to 13, 2026.

The delegation was warmly received by the Office of the President and the Faculty of Science.

The delegation was led by Dr. Jyh-Tsung Lee, Dean of the College of Science.

Its members included Dr. May-Ru Chen, Vice Dean of the College of Science; Dr. Shu-Chen Hsieh, Chair of the Department of Chemistry; Dr. Che-Hsin Lee,

Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences; Dr. Chien-Cheng Kuo, Chair of the Department of Physics; Dr. Tsung-Lin Lee,

former Chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics; Dr. Chih-Wei Chen, current Chair of the Department of Applied Mathematics; Dr. Chang-Yi Wu,

Director of the International Ph.D. Program for Science; and Dr. Vincent Wang of the Department of Chemistry.

The delegation was welcomed by Associate Professor Chutinun Prasitpuriprecha, President of UBU; Oranuch Puangsuk,

Assistant to the President for International Relations and International Education; and Professor Siriporn Jungsuttiwong,

Dean of the Faculty of Science, together with university administrators and faculty members. During the visit,

both institutions introduced their institutional development,

the distinctive strengths of their science programs, and their international engagement initiatives.

They also exchanged views on strengthening research collaboration and developing future partnership opportunities.

The two institutions held a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony, exchanged commemorative gifts, and took official group photographs.

The delegation also participated in a campus tour, reflecting the friendly relationship and active engagement between the two universities.

The College of Science at NSYSU sincerely thanks the Office of the President, the Faculty of Science,

and the entire hosting team at Ubon Ratchathani University for their generous hospitality and thoughtful arrangements.

The College looks forward to maintaining close ties with UBU and further strengthening the partnership between the two institutions.
